Lawrence Hugh Burns is a New York City–based Art Director, illustrator, and graphic designer. His work is a pastiche of pop culture, informed by the cartoons, video games, and Sunday strips he grew up on.
He currently leads creative at Sprayground, a global backpack and apparel brand known for transforming the doldrums of fashion into brightly colored, limited-edition pieces that are never produced again. Over the last decade, he has overseen the brand’s visual evolution, creative team, and high-profile collaborations.
When he isn’t arched over his Cintiq, he’s most likely enjoying a cold beverage and a diagonally cut sandwich, waiting for the next summer thunderstorm to roll through.
